Does anyone know if you can file out of state corporation?

I'm looking at filing in Wyoming but I live in CA.

    What are your thoughts??

What is the purpose? You still have to register in CA for additional money.

As Bill said, you can file a corporation in just about any state and it is done for a multitude of reasons, just ask Delaware. In the state of California, you are required to pay taxes on all income earned in CA regardless of where your corporate charter is. If you book a load in NC and take it to NY, even though you didn't earn the money in CA, if your residence or address is here, you did. But you're better off asking your tax professional than listening to me at 2:00 am.

You will need to have a registered agent in the state in which you incorporate. You will also need an address in the state of incorporation where you can receive correspondence. Unless you know someone in the state in which you plan on incorporating, you may need to pay a service a fee to act as your registered agent. There are a number or companies who incorporate in Nevada or Delaware.
