So i seen a thread where one driver keeps his eye out for trails to take his dog on close to rest areas and truck stops. This got me to wondering in anybody does any fishing or hunting during their regulatory shut down time.
out of the box question

You are also complicated by all the states you will need be-coup permits from IF you can get it. Otherwise you maybe prosecuted in certain states when they learn what you got in there.
In this industry we have a saying "Keep the left door shut" because you are already late to appt time get going.
You will need a permit from fish and game in our state (I think 20 dollars annually at walmart) before you toss a hook into anything with water. And even then the Army Corps of Engineers have a massive number of private waters. You cannot throw a hook into that. -

Not to mention there are no laws prohibiting a driver from having weapons in the truck. Only company policy.

When you drive 10 hours or 11 hours in today's HOS, and shut down you have to log it sleeper. And get your rest, meals and so forth. Thats the first thing in trucking.
The one time you will have a chance to run around with favorite activity is to 34 hour resets. Who cares about the truck, grab a uber or rental and take off. Enjoy.tarmadilo Thanks this. -
