A closing statement on IWX.

I was watching a podcast on the trucking company I'm heading to. They stated that most of the time a driver has a complaint or problem, its partially the drivers fault.?

Looking back at other companies I've worked/driven for/with I can see that.

This time it was/is all IWX changing the operating parameters that I was originally hired on with. I.E. the speed limiters, I would have been much happier if they just turned the trucks down to 65 vs dangling the 68 on cruise option. (also the 68 on cruise isn't available if you're trying to pass someone or if your wipers are on)

I asked/told my DM I was buying a truck the Saturday before Christmas. I planned on leaving IWX but was going to be a "professional" and give a 2 week notice before doing so. Upon asking if IWX would prefer a 2 week notice (I've seen other drivers there do so) I was immediately terminated, truck taken away once I reached the yard.

I thank IWX (while they were IWX) for giving me the opportunity, the people there, dispatchers, road control, safety, HR, I have never met or worked with a better bunch of people.

I am moving onto greener pastures and will continue to post my successes and failures, see you all soon..
