Some of you might care, some of you might not. I know most probably drive nicer trucks but this is my first dump trailer so I have to be proud. The thing was filthy and I finally spent time today cleaning her up. Acid bath, clean interior, windows etc. and I got paid to clean it...haha! I like the dump trailer much more than the straight dump. More challenging, no one else at work wants to drive it and it pays more than the straight truck drivers. Woohoo......
Next on the list is swapping out those mismatched mudflaps on her rear and new side boards.
My ex that I miss dearly. New driver started Thursday and they get dirt duty. What a shame as she is a gravel hauling beast.
And my two girls next to the sluggo twins trucks. Aren't they cute the way they put their beds up together with no rain in the forecast?
Hopefully this 24'er leads to a 40'er in the future. Thanks for looking and for all of the great info you veterans have given.
Out with the old, in with the new, to me at least.

How much money can you make with a dump truck?

Used to pull a frameless dump back in 98 to 99. Loved doing it but one day while dumping the trailer decided it was time to take a nap and the truck soon followed suit with me in the cab. Was a ride that I will never forget. But it was something that I enjoyed doing. Hope all goes well and you eventually get the 40 foot.

Nice to see someone putting a bit of effort into what they drive / pull. Hopefully your boss see's it as well

Thanks Flatbed, he sees it all right. He ok'd the overtime for today. He appreciates that someone wants to take care of his equipment.
Thanks popcorn, i would like t pull a 40'er for my own benefit but most likely it would involve % pay and not sure that would benefit me. Still more research to do on that one.popcorn169 Thanks this. -
Ain't nothing wrong with taking pride in your ride, and your work. May you live long and prosper.

The Sterlings are stout pieces of equipment. A little plain, but they work. Congrats and second on taking care of your ride. You and your boss will appreciate it.

Thanks Wharf rat, yeah the starlings are definitely the white bread of trucks. Mine has a fresher C-12 in it as the first sucked a valve. The Trans is rough though. Different gearing from the L9000 of course as it's a road tractor but it is sloppy to say the least. I can't get it too mesh consistently for the life of me. 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500 rpm it still wants to clash. Going from low side to high it won't sync until it drops to near 1000rpm. That sucks when loaded with 20T. It's a good learner tractor I suppose.
My boss isn't afraid of buying equipment so maybe in a year or two I will get a new tractor.
The L9000 floats really nice and tight. -
What's the gvw on that tri axle 77k? The body on that thing looks like it could take near 25 yards, sweet lookin truck.
Mattnatti Thanks this.
