I'm Ex Canadian Army and have run up north in Canada on the ice. ' Ice Road Truckers ' is a cute and amusing show. I have a very good friend who is Ex Australian Army and she runs 'grocery' road trains, or 'tea and sugar' ( that right ? )trains in the outback boonies and loves it. Her pictures and stories are amazing. They need to make 'human interest' shows instead of the faked high drama reality tv shows to keep the viewers .... JMO

I like it, they wear flip flops and shorts to work. I got to say Aus gals are beefy (work horse). Pull their weight.

Road trains would be the one remaining item for me but I would doubt that hopping into a half million pound rig would be something that motivates people.
I know this is a old thread, but if I was almost a 100 ton or heavier I would want advanced notice on that rail crossing as well. I have watched a few episodes and found that there occasionally issues with drivers who may not be suitable for that kind of work. There would be absolutely no place to put a road train should someone get in the way with their bad driving in even worse cars, it will be non survivable for them. -
Some of those drivers make me seem like a pro lol
I should show my boss this show then he might give me a raise

decent look at some equipment and some nice scenery, though -
i enjoyed it. mainly for the scenery and equipment, as mentioned already. they can get themselves in some real pickles, makes me feel good about beating up asphalt all day and going home haha.
