I've said it once and I'll say it again Stump......
The reason is Heart, Pure and Simple.. A HUGE percentage of Drivers (probably going back a good 10-15 years now) Don't have the 'Heart' and desire to be a Trucker.....
All it seems to be anymore are people that 'need" a job.Know nothing about trucking. And pretty much Don't Care to know about trucking.
They want zero Accountability....And they are running around the highways with No discipline. I use the word Discipline because It takes, Patience,Skill and a Big strong Heart to do this job successfully without error.
Large Carriers could care less what product they put in that captains chair..as long as its breathing and can look out a windshield

Lol, my CB is older than most of the "outlaws" trucking today. Never ran more than 2 books, never let a load or broker drive me tired or sleepy. Stand your ground, be safe to your self and shut up, keep the left door closed, drive. This simple rule had worked for many miles.

My father was a hot rodder in the late '40s. He put a car in a ditch because he fell asleep. After that, he bragged about that he would stop when he was tired, no matter where he was. Even if it was in the grocery store lot 2 blocks from home. He stopped when he was tired, and drove when he was awake, and made the book look right.
The reason we drive this way, they say, is because of the way we get paid. Hogwash! I got paid hourly, with overtime after 40. If you would be outlaw for mileage rates, wouldn't you put in an extra hour at $27 per hour?Dominick253 Thanks this.
