My outside temp gauge is not working it reads -58 all the time and it stay's on (light) after you turn the truck off. Stopped at the dealer today and no one could find the outside senor. It is not behind the bumper 2 mechanics and service manager could not find it. Have a call into Freightliner to help find it. Does any one have any ideal where it is? It a Fitzgerald glider kit.

I'm not sure about your year but Freightliners use to put them on the pipe from the air cleaner to the turbo. They were famous for the wires breaking at the little crimps on the connector to the sensor. Surely they fixed that problem by now?
Your truck is under warranty. Get the dealer to fix it. -
Should be on the left side behind the bumper. What is the last 6 of the VIN?
Sometimes they hide them in odd spots -
I understand it under warranty they could not find the senor just thought some one might know on this forum. ok? The last six are of the vin. are ff2688 it does not show a part number for the senor when they ran the vin number. This is why the call to FL

Your'e right. Your truck doesnt call out having an outside air temp sensor. The truck does show to have the harness installed. It is a 2 pin connector behind the left of the bumper, tied into the chassis harness. Check closely for the connector near your fog/road lights. With wires 299 and 299A
If you find the connector, you can buy part number 22-43953-000 -
Well I found out why there is no outside temperature senor because it hard wired to the gauge. I took the dash apart followed the wire out the steering column it goes behind the washer bottle where some one cut the wire and the senor was gone. There is no senor like the ones used on older trucks. bad senor means new gauge.

I have a 2013 glider and I haven't ever looked for the sensor, but it has to be on the firewall or somewhere inside the hood. Mine is spot on, but when I stop, the temp will rise from the engine heat. Once I get moving, it drops back down. Mine was ordered from the factory with the gauge, so it was not a retrofit.

This to is a factory gauge. Got a new one ordered today 89 dollars you need this gauge to work or your a/c will not work according to the people at Freightliner dealership this is my first Freightliner so I'm on a new learning curve.
