Got loaded today, hit the scales and weights are 11560, 30060, and 34620. Moved tandems as far back as I can legally go, still 34200 on trl axle. Called my DBL, told her what's up. She said run it. Its a relay, I'm supposed to take it from Grand Rapids and drop it in Gary, going on from there to kansas city. I can make the weight legal, but it puts me over bridge by 2". What should I do?

dont think they are scales that are SB/WB I94 from GR. NB only. Cant recall if scales are on 94 in IN. Dont think so though. its rare to get pulled in anyway, BUT theres always that one time.....

Question is what are YOU comfortable doing? me I might chance it.

edit, just checked online, there IS a WB scale on 94 in Indiana. Can catch 20 in South Bend to bypass. IF its even open.

If your driver manager said run it, Id run it. A ticket on 620 lbs would probably be a lot cheaper than the time youd kill to take it back, that's probably why they told you to take it? Most scales allow 500 if youre not over gross. Its your call though. Just make sure you have your logbook up to snuff in case you do run into a hard nose.

Did you get your DBL to type that out & send it across the Q-com. they might.

It's "close". Probably, it will be okay.

It's been a dozen years since I needed to think abt tandems.

Some states were serious about it. Others didn't care much.

    200 lbs... About same.

    vs.

Go back & get it adjusted.

How long is that going to take. Will they even do it today??

    You make a calculation.

    Ultimately, it's on you.

Be #### sure to fill out your relay sheet out of your pumpkin pad and alert the next driver with a note. Dont let THEM find out the hard way. Be stand up.
