I'd run it.....slide the tandems back 1 more notch and go. I've never had anyone say anything about "bridge Laws"......for the most part, especially on the big roads, I don't think they care.
Leave the scale ticket and a note with the paperwork for the next guy though
Over weight, dbl says don't worry about it.

great reason to run at night 99% of the best words you will ever see SCALE
(CLOSED)
well that or a move over sign as the shack is burning to the ground -
That's what I was thinken move one knotch but I think if I understood his post correctly that he has his tandems slide all the way back..Don't scales allow certain leeway on weights?
-
Chances are, he'll move 200 lbs forward the first time or two he hits the brakes. I may be wrong but the only time I ever bothered dispatch about a load was if I was more than 500 over anywhere, which sometimes I didn't bother them about that. Ive never been in a state that didn't allow some tolerance, course it may have changed since I left the road? I for sure wouldn't waste my hours on 200 lbs.

Because bridge law in IL allows for 45'6" kingpin to rear axle? Not sure if thats what youre asking. Schneidet has never done me any favors, no reason for me to do any more for them than I have already. I've got the time, Ill probably just take it 9 mi back to the shipper and have them rework it.

I'd run it the 200 over in a heartbeat and have, but you have to weigh that risk yourself...I realize and accept that they "can" ticket me for that, but do they on any type of regular basis, I say no unless given another reason or your number is just up, happens...But they have a +/- tolerance and 200(.006%) is within all I've heard of, again, unless given another reason...Or they could use it as a reason to look for more, that, to me, falls under the "your number is just up" category...

Personally, I would just move the tandems back until the weight was legal, one or two more holes. Very few states did I ever pay attention to the bridge law when I was OTR.
I only ever went back to a customer to have a load reworked one time. Picked up in Washington but was bringing it down to Fontana, only way it was legal was with my tandems back to like the 16th hole, wasn't chancing that in commiefornia. Took em 9 hours to reload it legal. -
I'd send in the Overweight macro and let them make the decision. That's what they are there for. I have had too many overweight loads dumped on me. If I pick up a relay(which in my case 99% don't have a scale ticket with the bills) and it's overweight when I get it,and I can't get it legal, it goes right back to the OC and I don't touch it again.
mickimause Thanks this. -
Run it! They allow 200. You would have to sit on the scale and let it settle before you saw that weight.
Can you get in the doors? Seals? Toss you a few boxes up front like 200 lbs worth.
It's a relay? Correct? Drive 20 mph and lock the brakes down! loljk, don't do that!
