I’m pretty sure I’m ok after I just pay this thing. Right? Local sheriff in an Ohio city wrote me a ticket for being overweight for that specific residential road. Signs were posted and I didn’t comply with those signs. Sheriff said it’s not a moving violation and “no points assigned” I did not get inspected and no DOT came. $219 fine no biggie.

Does this follow me around on PSP points?

Does our employer and or truck owner get notified of any tickets we get?

No. They would only know if it were to show on your mvr, in this case i wouldn’t worry about it

I got a level 2 inspection and three things to fix. He wrote up the company. Do I still get any points? Didn't even think about that.

There wasn't a school of Kittens running down that street towards a Huge Bowl of Milk, was there?

Which made you go down the street, I Understand Completely I do.

I was stupid. I ignored my truck route on my Rand McNally. I thought I saw a better way. I then saw the weight limit sign after started my right turn onto the street. Moment of decision. It was a small winding 2 lane rural road going up a hill and through a ravine. I made the decision to just go. A u-turn would have been idiotic or worse. it was too late to do anything else.

There was the sheriff at the top of the hill just waiting for trucks. He wasn’t a jerk. He said it is a serious problem there. He only wrote it as over by 5-10k lbs for the weight limit. I was more like 3x that. So I got a break.

must have been in a communist state. I’ve driven by the boys in blue here many times in places I shouldn’t have been and they didn’t even bat an eye, not usually as far over as you though.
