over weight ticket

    depends on the state and how much over you were. Most states have a "formula". Were you cited and released or did you have to adjust the weight ? before leaving

    I was just wondering if anybody knows what is the longest gooseneck you can haul in the state of Florida just wondered

    Check your local ordinances. Half the time your DOL handbook and your safety handbook will have those permitted sizes.

    I've always heard $1 per pound. May be completely bs...but that's the impression I'm under.

    That doesn't sound much but seems it would get expensive in a hurry!

    I've heard it's typically $1+ a pound if it's overgross, and for axle generally around $.25 a pound. I've never received one and the one guy whose ticket for overgross I saw had no fine listed nor would the officer at the coop tell him anything so just going off what I've heard from others...
