Oh yeah....I was having a discussion with a young lady at the St. George S/B coop getting my permit corrected to run the Gorge today....

She told me that AZ law as it is written....Allows for loads up to 96" wide to be legal....I told her that would be hard for most of us running 102" wide trailers.....:biggrin_2554:

Anything 3 feet overhang need a flag during the day and lights at night. I have a annual and only use it for wide loads. I've haul 80 ft. beams at night with NO permit needed, not even oversize load signs, just lights and flags.

I wont, hopefully. The load was changed so I didnt have the overhang. I wouldnt haul it like that even if it is legal. I couldnt safetly secure it with over half of the pipe hanging over. Four foot diameter pipe that was 13 foot long. No way I could secure it.

Colorado you can be 10' over with no permit just need flags day and lights night. New Mexico 7' Utah 6' Wyoming as long as the load is under 60' total. Lets see Montana 53' total then you get into overall length with those guys. The most overhang I know of is 10' without permit.Colorado.

Ill keep that in mind for future reference, thank you. I wouldnt mind the overhang as much, but it has to be safe.
