What do you guys do if you can't find parking. I drove lastnight for 2 hrs looking for parking. Luckily I saw a few trucks parked in a no name truck stop off of 81 in va. Should I just stay at the 90 if I think its too late to find parking??

From what ive been told, very few of the 90's allow overnight parking. Since i started, i havent run into a problem finding a spot at T/S's. Had some tight fits, but always found space. Im sure in time my luck will run out.

Not sure if the snow played a role with the amount of trucks sitting but I could not believe it. Went to 2 flying j's, a TA,hess, kangaroo, and nothing .... People were double parking but I wasn't going to park where I wasn't suppose to be , don't wana get in trouble for someone hitting my ###.

We start looking 2 hours prior to putting in for the night. If we are going to put in that is. I have started a note book of places I see to park as I go along. Most of them are out of the way places, very few think to look. My trainer seems to know everywhere to park though, since he has been driving since he was old enough to climb into a cab lol.

Keep driving til I find a safe n legal place to park.

Figuring out where you are going to stop for the night is part of trip planning. JCW likes to roll when there aren't as many trucks on the road, so he's usually looking for a place as most trucks are rolling out. So far, we've only run into one problem, but he was able to find a spot across the street. He does check and see if the receiver has overnight parking if it doesn't specifically state such, tho. Tonight, he's parked at the 03. If they hadn't had parking, we would have used a rest area off of I-90. Or, if the weather had kept him from getting to the 03, we did have the rest area as a back up.

Dragon this is my 4th solo run and that's exactly did I figured out the mileage I'm going to run today after I pickup and have 3 truck stops with 150+ spots I think ill be ok

I usually plan for a TS and a backup with a little time to spare. If they are full then it's time to break out Google Maps for a satellite image of the area and look for a nice place, really handy. The images are a few years old but are good enough most of the time.

I go Off duty drive to ORD's house and ride his motor cycle.
In truth In trip planning I try and hit TS before 1700 or after 0600 whenever feasible. It seems to work. Guess I have gotten lucky most of my 90's or 01's have parking. -
HA! Jokes on you lol I moved it lol
