Is there a holiday restriction on oversize freight? i.e. no hauling on holidays?

    Every state is different.
In most instances it is no weekends or Holidays. Also no running after dark.
As I said though, many states have different rules. Also some (like OH) will try and run the very large over dimensional stuff on the weekend mornings so that the traffic is lower.
It will state on the permits the route to be taken, hours to be run. Some towns and city's also have there own regs, not allowing over size loads during peak travel times.

Hi kebo: I hope you never have to come to Massachusetts, but it you do, it is a fairly easy state to work in. Blanket permit says can move up to 12' at night and can move weekends if not restricted in permit or by towns.
Vermont is a tough state to do oversize or weight in. No nights, no travel in rain, can only travel 50mph etc. They dont enforce the 50 mph thing, just use it as an excuse to stop you so they can check everything else...

Holiday restrictions should be listed on the permit and the provision sheets. Depending on the state or city/county/ holiday restriction may go from a couple days before, the weekend after, or whatever they decide on.
