Yes my "non-commercial truck" signs are very visible. I used to have a Not For Hire sign, but another DOT inspection officer told me that's why he pulled me over and that a more appropriate sign would be what I have now

Three words "NOT. FOR. HIRE." is all that is needed at a paint contrast sufficient to be read at 50 feet. The bigger the sign the better.
You can drive a freaking tank around for all they care provided the weaponry aboard is disabled and you are not carrying ammunition in the racks for it.
I encourage you to Prime yourself to the Children, it is a good thing you are doing for them. And something that probably makes life pretty fun for you. It's pretty dated though. You are dealing with somethign approaching 30 years in the cartoon world.LoneCowboy, Diesel Dave and JoeF2002 Thank this. -
NOT FOR HIRE signs don't mean anything!!!! You can be not for hire and still be a fully regulated motor carrier, that is what is called a private motor carrier, i.e., a manufacturing company that moves only their own products. They are not for hire, no direct compensation for moving the goods, but they are still a fully regulated motor carrier. Joe has the correct signage on his truck, "Private Vehicle - Non- Commercial". I would word it like the big motor coaches that are recreational vehicles do "Private RV Non-Commercial".
Pedigreed Bulldog, bigguns, Toomanybikes and 2 others Thank this.
