Been down this road. My hr was willing to work with me and we came to an agreement. We on the highway get ot after 60. City guys get ot after 8, but legally they don’t have to pay until 9. And it’s daily, not accrued through the week. Holidays are paid federal holidays. For family day or civic holidays, we can either take it as an unpaid day off, or use a vacation day.

To calculate your pay for stat holidays, they go back over your last 20 days worked. Total up hours and divide by 20 gives you an average.

so if you work 60 hrs plus get holiday pay ,say 10 hrs, those 10 hrs are time and a half then, correct?
Or put another way, if you work 70 hrs, in a week and 1 of those days was a holiday you get double time and a half for the holiday. -

I am paid per trip and on my pay sheet they break it down to 24 hrs or 9.5. Some weeks I get paid for 72hrs and some 57.5, short trips are ON and long are ON to QC.
Ive never been paid overtime.
I had worked for Contrans and when I was training they paid hourly and overtime after 60.
