They can just run your license plate and pull up your permit in ohio. And then they will decide whether to pull you over.

Yep, depending on the attitude of cop, it can be a permit violation ticket for speeding or a voided permit. Hope for the first one !

You guys on the east have your own set of bridge rules apparently.

My 7 axle can only do 95. When the drops are up. Drives are 750 heavier then trailer. When drops are down. Trailer is 2,000 heavier then drives.

Mathematically I can haul 98. But anything over 95 makes the trailer to heavy.

You’re hauling a divisible load. We are talking 7 and 8 axle rgn loads. We aren’t talking about Michigan specials. I suppose he never said it was divisible, but if he came from WV with it, it won’t be.

Cops in Ohio are famous for writing tickets for 3mph over, especially out of state. Also remember,a cop doesn't need radar,if he has a calibrated Speedo,he can shadow you for a certain distance and write you off that.Don't give them a reason to mess with you.DOT cops don't stop looking till they find something, especially in Ohio.JMO

I'm pulling tanker. But divisible or not. That's the rule. 8 axles only gets us 105 on this side of the country.

Now if it's different for rgn. Nobody is saying anything. Cops, dot, or scales. So if it's different. It's a secret. Cuz I keep getting told NO.

And my state only allows up to 129. Pup trailer needed for that much. Or extra axles in some form.

Look at it this way for decades every truck ran 55 mph or rolled the dice and sped.. AS long as your paid properly 55 ain’t no big deal and shouldn’t be boring if you enjoy what you do

He could be driving California and deal with traffic along with 55.

Arizona is also a 55 state on oversized.

In Ohio especially, they will pull you over just for a random inspection. I have had it happen to me. It was a clean one so worked out to money in the pocket for me.
