Usually it's about 500 pounds per hole.

It sounds pretty much like you're going to be slightly over if you slide them forward 1 hole. Try it and get a $1.00 re-weigh. I would probably take my chances being slightly over at a D.O.T. scale and hope they don't nitpick. Whatever you do don't put on more fuel!

    igordallastx Thanks this.

Hopefully you're at a truck stop still. Move it up one hole and try a re-weigh. If my estimate of 500 pounds per hold is correct you should be pretty close. You know how to slide the fifth wheel with a loaded trailer, right?

Sure, thank you. I drive before old manual FT and there one hole was close to 500 pounds. But sliding rail was about ten holes. This one has 19 holes. Probably Highweyghman is right - 250 lbs. But yes, will reweight tomorrow. Driving now from pump to pump with empty tanks. But there no chance - or roll, or wait till Monday to remove some palletes from the back.

Yep, 1 hole is all I would do. Better to be a little over on the drives then the steers & as long as your under gross even California wouldn't sweat a couple hundred.
