That sucks Jay.This cust could have unloaded you the next night.Don't most have an hr cut off time? You was only 40 min late. How about asking your broker if she can swap loads with somebody.

It sounds to me the broker lied to you about an early delivery just to get the load moving. Then you messed up being late for the actual appointment. Why would you be late after sitting 36 hours?

It sounds like a butt company but attitude plays a big role sometime. If you throw anger their way some will play games and try to teach you a lesson.

One year experience, are you sure you aren't a lease operator for some mega carrier? Have your company's customer service call them and let them deal with the negotiating in a calm manner.

mje and Sly Fox Thank this.

if you were told you were early the first time, was there not a place close by to park until your appoint time, where you not be late the second time?

    Here's the problem:

You showed up early. No big deal. They told you to come back at 11pm (probably just told you your appointment time). You show up, but it's not the right 11pm.

They tell you to come back the next day. You left. You're no longer 'checked in' in their eyes. And somehow you show up 40min late? How does that happen? You have ALL DAY to get back there on time. Now, they're just screwing with you because a) you probably really annoyed them, b) they don't need that product ASAP, and c) you showed up late which negates any detention being paid so they know you're sitting for free.

Appointments are appointments. Never show up late unless it's an act of God preventing you.
