got anybody for start up capital on this or is this just an idea your throwing out...if its just O\O's you probably wouldnt need as much acreage as most TS's other than keeping out the MEGA fleets what other advantages would it have for the O\O...less expensive fuel...better food...wake up calls with free coffee...a shop that doesnt cost an arm and a leg...maybe a shop space with tools that let the O\O work on his own equipment...

Ok in that case then I could see something like. The only problem is that you and I both know that any chain don't give a #### about anything but getting your $. They want you in and out as quickly as possible, spending as much as possible and then move along so they can get the next guys $.

This is not a realistic business model.

Have you ever been to the original Starbucks? Its a coffee shop that sells coffee. It started out as one store that made a profit...... they opened another... repeat ad nuseum.

Simple idea... how is that not realistic. BTW, its not a club that excludes a large portion of its potential customer base.

You gonna start with one truck stop? Where, and whats to prevent you from overselling spaces to your members... unless you have drivers that spend every night in your stop you will have unrealized profit potential from empty spaces, not to mention the money spent in your other enterprises (Restaruant, C-Store, Fuel)

Rental properties tend to have a 5% vacancy rate as a rule.....

A few empty spaces aren't going to cause a biz to fail....
Were not talking airlines here....they always overbook.....

There's several ways to generate the income to succeed and keep the clientele happy to return again and again....

You know what I drive and how I truck
I would pay the $500.00 just to stay away from all the rude folks out there that block the pumps while they eat or B-S inside as long a the prices were in line with the Majors on fuel
