Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

That's terrible pay I'm sorry. I make more then that now and I'm home every weekend and every holiday plus any special event I need.

.21cpm*5000=$1050
.21cpm*6000=$1260 per week. that 42cpm as a solo driver if you break it down which i dont think is low at all you have driver making far less then that. im a 1 truck operation i cant afford to pay you .50cpm and from my personal experience high cpm doesn't mean you'll get good miles to go along with it. i do all the dispatch which means i always have a pre plan and when its time to go home there no sitting or arguing with a dispatcher either there a load or im dhing. sounds like your at a good company but there a ton of driver that are not and looking for something better.
i would pay a driver by 1099 and offer a higher pay but there alot of spot light on that issue with the irs and i rather not put myself in a jam. -
Heh. I earn at least $1050 every week, driving a day cab less than 400 miles per day Monday - Friday, and sleep in my own bed 19 out of 20 days. I can't see how anyone could justify being confined to a moving truck for 22 out of 24 hours per day for that kind of pay.

You guys ain't gonna change a company's structure by complaining. I doubt you are even job hunting. So let's not create a negative environment for others. If you have a bad experience with a company we have the Bad Trucking Company forum to express your opinions in. I know plenty of drivers making a lot less than that and would be happy for a pay raise.
281ric and DriverToBroker Thank this. -
Hey luisrolon. If your still looking for a co-driver, im still looking to drive team with an o/o. I held my CDL from 1991 to 2004. Last co i drove for was Knight Trans in 2004. Ive been out of the truck for the last 10yrs. Last month i got my permit back. Ive been taking a refresher cource to take the drive test at the DMV on 05/20/2014. Weather i pass or not, i will be ready to go back to work. My permit is good for a year. The only hard part for me is the under the hood part of the test. The pay your offering is more than fare. Some drivers out there start out at .34 cpm. And since ive been out of the truck for awhile, i might as well be a new driver. I have no tickets or accidents and a perfect on time record for all shippers and receivers. I will check this thread often for a response or you can reach me at Christensen.russell@yahoo.com Be safe and have a great day
