Hi folks,
I am looking for guidance on the expenses related to getting legal with hauling livestock.
Here's the details:
Looking to run with a Pete 385 C-12 but with a single rear axle, "tote" truck design. 10k front axle, 20k rear.
28' to 30' gooseneck trailer, 15 head big cattle (1800lb) top end load.
Interstate between most mid western states, commercial hauling of livestock for profit.
Any tips on insurance, DOT number and fees, or interstate regs that need to figure into operating cost? Class A CDL driver and I know livestock well, more concerned with being on the up and up with the law to keep a good customer rep. Thanks!
