If this was Transwood Logistics let me know. I an having trouble getting paid correctly also. I have called the terminal who cant give me a reasonable answer, and Corporate office in Nebraska who says they dont know what I am talking about, that I need to contact my terminal office. They have since wrongfully terminated my lease over an incident that happened on location with my driver. Shell Safety report only states safety violations made by Halliburton and Transwood, yet I had my lease terminated. Go figure.
Owner operator STILL waiting on payment???

Sadly you see this a lot. Some of these "companies" change names after they rip off everyone who runs for them then start all over again. The first company I dealt with was similar and pulled so many dirty tricks it wasn't even funny. Luckily we got out before they got too far into our pockets and in our case it turned out to be a good (but kind of expensive) learning experience.
Now I stick to running under my own authority and wouldn't lease again under any circumstances. Needless to say, that whole mess set us back and it took a while to recover from it.
Good luck getting at least some of what they owe you. I feel for you. And hope karma catches up to them sooner than later.EverLuc Thanks this. -
Make sure you only tell what can be proven and start blasting their name everywhere.
The more bad publicity you can give them the better. Just don't set yourself up for a defamation lawsuit. -
If you are an OOIDA member, call them. They can point you in the right direction.

That is not quite true. I have a post where I was wrongfully terminated by Transwood Logistics. I also have proof where I was shorted on detention time on a number of loads. I contacted the Truckers Justice Center, sent them the paperwork they requested, and have not heard from them. I have called numerous times and I get "Im not in the office but I'll get it when I get in and let you know". This has gone on for over 2 months. I contacted OOIDA and they just told me I needed to contact a Lawyer on the wrongfull termination and take Transwood to small claims court on the pay issue.
This is how the trucking companies gets away with this crap. They know we will loose more money chasing the money we were shorted and we will just let it go.
I can tell you for an absolute fact.....STAY AWAY FROM TRANSWOOD LOGISTICS!!! They want to run your butt off, they will call you to take a load even when they know your out of hours and expect you to take it yet expect correct log books turned in on time or they will shut you down until they are straight. I can show proof of a wrongfull termination and being shorted on detention time. If you lease on to them after reading this.......Do cry when you get the shaft......and you will. And calling their regional manager, and corporate office will get you no where. The Alice Texas terminal is crap. No one there is worth beans. It is so screwed up threy couldnt keep a Terminal Manager there. The Regional Manager Bob Houston is worthless. Jeff Nikodym is worthless, he will not give you any help. Mark Penry in Administration at corporate will only do enough to keep him out of trouble. This is by pushing you off to someone else. The Legal office is a joke.....they can quote you the contract but do not require the company itself to abite by the contract. Once they see that you will keep after them they will just start ignoring your voice mails and not respond to your e-mails. It wont be long and there will be a sign in front of my property warning people to stay clear of Transwood Logistics. This is one company I truly hope goes down the drain. -
do as ooida says , get a lawyer. what these companies really count on, is someone yapping and never doing anything.

i know its a little late now, but there are some very important questions to ask when looking to haul for a oil feild company, 1 time to pay, 2 how long has your longest owner operator been leased to them, number of years hauling in the oil fields, phone numbers for a hand full of current owner operators.
any more than a week late on first payment its time to park the truck with a ultimatum, no money, no truck. there are a lot of underhanded people in the oil fields. i pretty much try to stick to state and county road projects and contractors. for this reason.
iv had some issues getting paid in the past, but have always been paid. with some invoices going over 6 months, some of this is luck and some persistence, try to communicate by e-mail some as well as phone calls, or even e-mail them about phone conversations this way you have record of some of whats said in case it ever had to go to court. seems last year the hand full of people i had done some work for that were delinquent on some tickets, paid me in nov-dec. i suppose they finally decided to pay me so they wouldent have to pay taxes on my money.
if they try to tell you that they have not been paid on x tickets yet for x reasons sometimes you can contact the customer to find out weather they have or have not paid on the invoices or not.EverLuc Thanks this.
