My boyfriend and I own LLC. we have MC Authority, Commercial Insurance, and doing HOTSHOT. We want to hire more drivers. We don't pay for a dispatcher as we just started up so im doing that for him. We have a few people without Authority but have their own trucks.
    1. do I need a license to dispatch them under our authority?
    2. what type of contracts would I need?
    3. does my company received the funds and we pay them based on what contracts we signed for compensation? (My Factoring Company or Theirs)
    4. what types of compensations should we offer? Weekly or per load daily?
    5. hiring additional drivers vs hiring drivers with their own trucks?( what would I need including documents from them)
    6. do I have to report any hires to anyone?
    7. I think I need a personal mentor lol!!!

That is a lot to unpack but I am sure there are folks here that can answer most of it.
How heavy are you guys going?
    Do your drivers have CDLs?

I suggest you contact your insurance company and get quotes, as they will be running under your authority. If they have all their own equipment, as in truck and trailer. I have seen 10 to 15% going to the person who has the authority. And you would pay the drivers, so you need to have deep pockets.

I am sure they only have insurance on their trucks and trailers, I don't see how they would have cargo insurance without having their own authority. So they would need to be on your cargo insurance.

Oh ok. Then if your doing all the billing, and waiting to be paid, I don't think you taking 10% is unreasonable.

How do you have your own authority and not know most of the answers to your questions? Especially the, do I have to report "hires" to anyone and
If you truly have your own authority you would already know the answer to many of these questions.
