Possible? Yes, people have done it. Not any decent companies that I know of would lease you on with only one month driving experience. Better to get a year in, at the least. Four seasons of driving. Learn the business, the lanes for the type of hauling you're interested in, and save a lot of money. Being under capitalized going in is the cause of most failures.tscottme, meechyaboy, Dockbumper and 6 others Thank this.

Just the cost of insurance will be enough to buy a new home.TexasKGB, meechyaboy, bzinger and 2 others Thank this. -
He wants to lease to someone..... so liability won’t be his problem.
But no carrier worth anything is going to take him with 1 months experience.....bzinger, Dino soar, The Crossword Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
“If I don’t know how to turn on an oven, do you think I can work at Arby’s for a month and then buy a nice restaurant?”
You’re looking at the driving, but are asking about operating a business. Go learn the driving part, get good at it, and then come back to talk business.Gearjammin' Penguin, tscottme, jmz and 12 others Thank this. -
I have a feeling we are going to see a lot more posts like this.
There is a youtuber that went from trucking school straight to /o/o with his own authority trying to make it look like its no big deal. -
that youtube paycheck will be funding his trucking endeavor, bet he never mentions that.meechyaboy Thanks this.

I was considering buying a truck and going OO this year. That’s in the toilet given the new regime in power. Count on higher diesel prices, higher business and personal taxes, increased regulation, all this year on top of the usual startup considerations. In my opinion the best time was a few years ago.
bzinger Thanks this.
