Hey guys,
I am thinking to add couple of owner operators to my fleet. Looking for someone with their own authority, insurance, plates and trailer. I typically run CA to SouthEast and back to CA,NV,AZ. Realistically, what would be fair offer on the round trip 7-8 days . Driver will have to do at least 1 pick and 1 drop on each end.
Owner Operators what rate is fair

Are you just starting out a dispatch service?
-
Why would some with there own authority even want to hook up with you.Are you looking for guys who don't have a trailer Your basically just brokering and you don't Even have a rate.I would only run your stuff if rates were good enough to get me away from any broker I was using and your credit and pay schedule is within what I would work with.i don't even understand the question maybe me how do you add a guy with his authority to your fleetBoyWander Thanks this.

If you want to do that, they better be on the brighter side of $3 a mile.
-
If I can find someone who pays $3 per mile, I will put my trucks with them instead of running it myself.

Someone who wants to run SouthEast lane and not able to do a good job finding their own freight. I could provide them with my freight and pay $1.50 per mile on all miles (outbound and inbound). Typically round trip takes 7-8 days. Obviously everyone wants to get paid $3 per mile, but realistically what do Owner Operators would settle for?

Hey, I can provide a crap load of $1.5 freight for anybody who wants to sign up. I'll even hook you up with my boy at TQL, he will give all the miles you want.
Dude, what you are offering is so stupid, it's not even funnyBoyWander, SL3406, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 9 others Thank this. -
I'm wondering who with their own authority would even bother with such low rates? Why they don't just suspend their authority and lease on with a company that will hold their hand? They'd really be better off at the $1 a mile plus fuel surcharge companies than they would hauling your freight for a $1.50 and keeping up with the expenses of an independent. But I'm sure there are some desperate independent o/o out there that will be glad to let you take advantage of them.

The brighter side of $5 per mile !!
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
When you run a business there is no settling for 1.5 $ pm. That's just plain stupid and insulting. Do you have any idea how much it cost to maintain equipment and everything else thet goes with having your own authority? Everybody can go online these days and pick a load from a load board. So many online services , even a dum dum can do it.Spartan0229 Thanks this.
