I'll get a couple white Volvos and do it for 1.20. of course you will have to learn swahili in order to communicate with the drivers.
I think J B Hunt pays OOs $1.70 a mile and that is power only pulling their trailers. So, $1.50 is rediculess.
Problem is many of those guys are not business savvy, otherwise they'd be looking for own loads. Some can barely speak English and have no idea how to negotiate. BTW 1.50 on all miles is not that far off if he's talking coast to coast. When I did a few longer runs my average was 1.80-1.90/mile with a reefer in March-April but you don't spend 6-8 hours a day loading/unloading. It all evens out
You're wrong. It's more like 1.50 a mile. And a lot of short runs. I can make 3-4/mile on 200-300 mile loads but my gross and net would be significantly lower
Now that's what I'm talking about! All these other greedy drivers can just keep on sitting at home waiting on that big score while watching the price is right on tv. You'll be moving and making money..........
Unfortunately lots of drivers are not business savvy regardless where are they from and carriers attitude oh we'll give u all the miles u want. I don't want #### miles if your pay is crappy. It's industry wide problem from drivers being naive to brokers and 3pl's not disclosing the real rate
