I'd love to get into logging except for one part.

    Winter.

Unfortunately (at least in Southern BC) that's when they really give'er. Got a few good months to give er' #### when its cold and hard packed before break up, weight restrictions on hwy, bush bans and fire season etc.

As a tanker driver I've learned to deadhead up to 3-500 miles to get into a better market. Or home.

Deadhead is easy on the truck, you just got to make it on the front end. But don't sit for 3 days waiting for that 3$/mi load to get a $3000 run. Because you're missing out on $750 a day profit.

Becoming a O/O has to be more than just money for the individual. If a driver is just money hungry then finding a good company is the way to go

If I remember correctly, you've said this year you'll make much less than 2024. One good week means nothing, one good month means nothing. All that matters is what your numbers for the entire year will be, and they won’t be good at all.

LOL, I think this argument may be futile...

This thread has taken too much "friday office" time. Gonna get back to putting together another banger rounder for next week after this beer

    #O/O headaches

Now im getting sucked back in

Good numbers are subjective. Which is another reason why people opt to do it EVEN THOUGH it doesnt make sense to others. Why do you care? The man is happy and hes winning at trucking
