I'll confess: I like Fat Tire and Sam Adams Lager, but I also like Moose Drool and PBR! No IPA though - that hsit is what people learning to make beer come up with.

 

I used to try the different ipa's up in montana. The one town pump truckstop just east of missoula a guy could get lost in there in the alcohol section . I never found any that was good. i must've tried atleast a couple dozen different brands. They all taste like a bar of soap to me. And im very familiar with that taste when mom would put a bar in my mouth after i said curse words as a kid

 

I liked this variety pack, Dump Truck, Ranier, hell I liked most beers. But i'm not an IPA fan, though there was one included in these variety pack

 

I used to really love to buy local beer when I traveled. Even in the truck. I would carry lots back home and I would keep some in my own fridge of my own truck and enjoy them after a long driving day. I don't any more but it's not fear or anything, just a health decision. Anyway, I'm sure I'm about to be crucified by someone for this and we'll have another thread hijack, but anyway, it's a cool story.

I was going through Montana and spent a 34 at my near favorite truck stop in America, the Town Pump off 90 just east of Missoula, the one on the river. They have an awesome beer selection. Awesome restaurant across the parking lot and a cool park/path to walk or fish on the river too. I grabbed some tasty selections from Bayern, a Missoula brewery, and the 6 pack I got into was skunk water. Wasn't IPA either. It was so bad I actually got on their website and complained. I never do that. They contacted me! They were super apologetic. The lady said she couldn't ship me beer to replace it but would send me a care package. I still have Bayern shirts, stickers, koozies, coasters, etc. floating around.

Great local company and I have had some of their other beers and they were great, I just got a bad batch.
