Why do you make false statements?
Luck is needed to be successful. Especially in trucking.

I just did 2 months on the road and then I took 3 weeks off. I put $4000 into the truck (I left $1000 in the maintenance account to start the next tour). The roads out there are pretty bad, so I concentrated on the front suspension. I also added a new steer tire and aluminum rims on the steers. I also replaced the A/C. That is the one luxury I allowed myself, but I probably should have waited since the weather is starting to ease, and I already went through the worst of it without A/C.

Banker is far from arrogant . He has helped alot of people on this forum and gives great advice on all sides of it.. quit being a hater.. all these guys u hate on probably make more in 6 months than u do in 2 years. Maybe you should take their advice and you will be able to find success yourself

Fortunately you and other intelligent hard working folks like yourself, have the ability to differentiate between 40 years of hard work and luck being the main factor in where someone is in life. Most of us have had our share of good and bad things happen in life, but hard work and determination out last the bad luck. I don’t buy lottery tickets but maybe should start since I must be so lucky! Lol

Thanks for the comments. You don’t know somebody isn’t worth your time until you have wasted time on them.

I’m fortunate to have met some of the people in my life and also have made some connections through friends. I don’t count that as luck. I see that as having a good reputation of how I am and how I maintain and take care of my equipment, to the point that someone is willing to put their reputation on the line to vouch for me. Even the job I have now, I’ve known the person for years and watched him grow his company, and he’s known the trucks I’ve had and how I am. That’s probably why I had a little free rein when it came to the truck I’d be driving for him and also why I felt comfortable selling my truck and taking this job. Will it last forever? Who knows. But they’re still selling trucks every day in case I ever want to buy another one.
