I am a new owner operator, just wondering, if I should buy work compensation insurance for myself, how are your guys doing ?

In a lot of states you still need an actual workmans comp policy even if you exclude yourself for it, basically ~$500 for a piece of paper

I have to carry it on myself. I am in a safety group and my policy runs me around $5k year based on what I pay myself.

I wouldn’t think Oc Ac would be more then $2500 per year. I could be wrong though but my owner op indicated that’s how much is was.
