It won't be just freightliner lol....good luck borrowing money on a truck when this is over.
I couldn't believe anyone was loaning money on trucks 2 years ago.

Used truck prices got a long ways to fall before they're even close to the deals one could get in 2008. To be honest those kind of deals will never be seen again. You could get lightly used newer equipment with 150,000 miles for $50,000. Fleet spec type trucks but even so, that's cheap.

I was talking to the banker man I financed my equipment with for nearly 25 years.
If I wanted to buy a new truck and trailer even with nearly a 800 credit score. A good track record. I would be looking at about a 10% interest rate flipping insane. I use to complain about 4 or 5 %.

The banks were loaning money on trucks because they were sitting on too much cash and had most of the oversight removed/neutered. At this point, there is so much corporate consolidation and wealth concentration that it's legitimately hard to find growth sectors, so banks have become more open to things like equipment loans. Money is still ridiculously easy to borrow. Yes, interest rates are 'high', but it's not hard to find someone willing to lend. Borrowers may have to jump through a couple extra hoops, but the money will be there.
