It is insurance after 90 days. Everything else was spot on.

They are revamping the training. Apparently I was the last one to do the 1 week training and 2 day orientation. It's now 2 day orientation first then 2-3 days on the training yard. And they removed a lot of the obstacles from the obstacle course. They got rid of the forward and reverse serpentine. But you'll see how it goes when you get here. I'm going out with my trainer tomorrow.

I thought it was odd also, but thats what I wrote down. 90 days sounds more realistic. Probly the heavy southern accent he had. Yeah, thats what it was.:biggrin_2554:

They have a pet policy and rider policy too. Rider can be anyone over 10 (not sure you should driving around with a 10 year old in your truck unless it's your kid tho, but doesn't have to be family) but you'll need to get them pre approved and you can have up to 2. Pets are dog and cat only, under 50lbs., and no Rottwiellers or Pit bulls. Oh and training they run you as a single driver not as a team. Oh yeah, you'll take a road test and get your physical on day one too. They run mostly Freightliner Columbias ('09-'10) but are replacing them with Cascadias as they get up to around 600k miles. Oh and there's 30 Volvos in the fleet. All 10spds, APU and inverter on all the trucksSo far I'm REALLY happy with my decision to come here. Just hoping my time on the truck with a trainer goes well. .

Who was the recruiter that came to your school? I went to school in NC and the school had never heard of Ozark. Sad too because they push mega carriers like Swift and Prime and Werner.

That's what they said in orientation. It's paid over a period of time. And it's a new benefit so don't know how many folks have gotten it. And to be honest I'm not sure if you have to be here for a certain amount of time before you start getting it. One thing tho. If you leave before 90 days you reimburse the company for your bus ticket, hotel, and physical. You sign an agreement day one that says this.

Yep you get a $1000 if you say a driver referred you. If not I don't believe you get it.

I haven't got it and probably won't get it because I have got my 2 week notice in. Still not sure if I'm going to stick it out here or go back flatbed.
