I doubt if one will come to your school because you are in illinois. Our recruiters are out of memphis and I think only go to the local schools. I could be wrong but just my thinking. Either way you will like it here and can make a good living.

 

I've been out with a trainer since last Wednesday. Seem to be getting back to back FedEx loads which is kinda funny. Still working on my shifting and backing. Quickly realized I think I got shorted in school. Ha! If anyone is curious there's supposed to be train and snow and freezing temps all over the Northeast tomorrow night.

I am sitting on my couch watching criminal minds. Got home saturday and leaving tommorow headed to pendergrass ga for wednesday at 9am appt.

 

That makes sense. Since, as far as I know, there are no Ozark terminals here, that would be an expensive trip just to visit a small-town community college.

I still feel really good about the company. So far everything I've read and heard jives with what the recruiter told me. I am hoping to meet a driver in person. Been stopping at the local truck stops when I have time. So far, no luck.

 

I seem to keep getting FedEx loads. Actually has a nice 900 miler into New York pre planned then got pulled off at the last minute to cover another FedEx. Short run so I'm guessing everyone else turned it down. Oh well, at least I'll get that short haul pay.

So far everything is going really well with Ozark. They're definitely keeping me busy through training and I'm getting alot of experience with driving in different situations (rush hour, night driving, city, tiny 2 lanes, snow, rain...). My trainer has me running all the miles my hours will allow and I'm doing all the backing, which is good.. Well except for that Amazon lot in Hebron. That place SUCKS and we were running late from slow loading!

 

Yea that amazon sucks. Our trailers seem to always be on the back side and they have the trailers dropped on the curb in front of them. Super tight.
