Did he get hit or did he hit someone. If he hit someone I think only a real big company like Swift for example, their insurance could cover him.

Did he get ticketed and was he terminated? That plays a role in acceptance. Give Ron hamby a call and see.

Just curious, what are the tractors at Ozark? 10 speeds or ? What is the closest drop yard or terminal toward Clarksville or Nashville? Do they start out paying pretty good per mile and would I at least get 2500 miles a week? Thanks in advance for any info!

Recruiter told me last week that they average 2200-2500 miles per week and they start a new driver at .35cpm. They have a 4 week program for new CDL holders where you are paid .145 cpm while riding with a trainer. Don't know too much about their equipment.

Thanks for the info. Wish they paid a little bit more in training though.

There is a terminal Lebanon, TN. Yes you can get at least 2500 miles a week. They run pretty much all 10 speed Freightliners now with APUs. They are going to be phasing out what Volvos they have left.

    twistedsmoke Thanks this.

I've got one of the last volvos. It's a '10. Not a bad truck. Over 5ook miles on it. New guys get freightliner Columbias (I've seen '08 and newer) and the "older guys" get cascadias. Everything Ozark runs is a 10spd and all the trucks have APUs. Those cascadias are nice. And from what I've seen in my short time here there are 2 kinda loads... FedEx or 44ooo lbs. And you really have to have no issues at all driving at night. Okay not every load fits into those 2 but honestly most will. I'm really happy here. I'd say 2250-2500 would be your average for the week with miles. Last week I sat for a day and a half because of that Dallas ice storm and I'll still finished the week out with 2300.

    twistedsmoke and Sojourn14 Thank this.

Thanks for the info. I don't have any problems with night driving. I'd probably prefer it for the less traffic. I just don't think I could survive on 2200 miles a week. I'll def keep them in mind though.

You must visit the paper mills a lot to be picking up so many heavy loads. I go to Maysville way too much. Lol!
