you are absolutely correct. It would seem that you have the right frame of mind to become a successful professional driver. There are many options out there for getting your CDL. Some are good, some aren't, but whatever works for you is what's important. Best of luck, and safe driving!

hey nikon, let me know how it goes. i will be heading to training for PAM in about 6 weeks (gotta do taxes and tie up some loose ends first)
the recruiter (david locke) told me i would go to Newport AR. for training at AR State U. but the packet i got in the mail today had a brochure from C1 in Indy??? who knows i guess i will find out soon enough :) where are YOU going to train?
BTW, thanks scarecrow for easing my mind somewhat about them.

St Louis is a great place to train. The hotel/motel SUCKS but the instructors are very good. I just finshed getting my CDL there. I can give you the direct number there. I sure like the road instructors they made getting my CDL a breeze. I would do MO instead of Indy. But that is my personal opinion.

not a problem. I think anyone who keeps their nose to the grindstone will be a success in this industry, regardless of the company signing their paychecks.

I know you have the option to go where you want. Just tell them you want to go to St Louis.

    Hey Pete
I went to Driver Solutions in Indy. The accomodations that they pay for were ther topic of constant complaints :laughing2: . But they had an option that allowed you to pre-pay. I stayed in a Holiday Inn which was just fine. Just a bit of info for what it's worth. Good Luck

I stayed at the ecconomy inn. I paid for it myself through drivers solutions and they only charged me $295. If they were paying for it they charged $395...And I was there only 19 days. The time goes very fast... It is my luck to get into a truck this week with my trainer and it is snowing out...
