Hi,I was working for Trans Am trucking as a lease oper.I wanted to get out of the lease.Got a job with pam transport.Gave 2 week notice.Went to oreant.in tontitown,AR.Got my truck, took first load to Ohio. Then had to go to term.in north jackson,oh to pick up a load.but when i got there. They told me that they had to let me go,because they overlooked something on my app.The thing is i told my recruter ever thing.filled out 2 apps.one before talked to recruter, and one in orent. So it took 4 weeks to see something that was on my app.I told them if i knew that,i would not have left last job.Started orent.10-03-2011 left go 10-10-2011. and now out of job.But I am looking. They should not be able to get away with some thing like that.:biggrin_25513:

I don't know what happened to you, but its not the first time that has happened at PAM. There have been many. High up in HR in T'town once told me they lose alot on medical backround checks. Maybe how they keep the health insurance so low cost?
But good luck and sorry to hear a company would do that to anyone. Seems like they could have made that decision before putting you out there.

That's very unfortunate. I just graduated from C1 on 10/21/11. I am still doing my check-in calls. My first was 10\28\11. It may be hard to find a non-smoking trainer lol! After three weeks of non-paid training and a week at home, hopefully when I do get picked-up, things will go better for me.

    That's a sad story.

Quit working for bottom feeders and life will be better.

Well, I got some bad news of my own. Tell me if this is wrong. I put all of my traffic tickets on the paper that I could remember. I go through C1 truck driver training in AR and graduate. I get back hoping to get my pick-up date when I get a call. They tell me that there has been a misunderstanding. I live in Alabama, so I had to transfered my CDL back to Alabama. I got my driving record print-out and it reads no convictions from the past three years. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to see what my trucking fate is. It says in plan sight that nothing is on there. Keep in mind that the same number of my regular license is now the number of my CDL.

Any safety guy will understand this. When you transfer your license to another state, then switch back it will not show up automatically. This isnt a big deal as long as youve told them, because it will show up. I live in Alabama and this is the same thing that happened to me.

Well, it looks like I won't be able to drive for about three years. I have to make sure I don't get anymore tickets. No company will pick you up with no driving experience and a lot of tickets. Now I have to find another job locally. After that, I'll more than likely have to attend trucking school yet again to get a refresher course. See, a month before I went to school, I got three tickets in one day. Improper lane change, following too closely, and a noise ordinance. A month before than I got a 15-over ticket. That messed me up.

It sure did. I don't know what state you're from, but fifteen over in Florida is considered reckless driving. That alone pretty much seals your fate.
