Do you know what your customer service reps actually said to the guy? In my experience cs reps tend to beat around the bush with what they mean, and may have simply told the guy that you would be there at such and such a time. I don't have to be there for the mail, for ups, for fedex, I'm not going to assume I need to be there other deliveries that can be left on the porch unless it's specifically stated as such.

Yes I do, because our on site supervisor was the one that called. Small yards like ours don't go through huge call centers.

 

At which point I say, "Too bad." And I can do that.

 

Are there any customers of ours aside from key accounts that don't deal with the local center performing the delivery?

 

Occasionally I intercept the truck downtown in commerical side and grab package after sprouting the information.
