I'd like to load up my licence with endorsements. I want a P endorsement and the test is easy.

What I can't figure is, how do I get my hands on a bus for the road test?

I don't want to shell out money for another CDL school, I just need a one day rental (I think) for the skills test. Since I ALREADY have a CDL am I exempt from the skills test?

Depends on your home state, and their rules for the P endorsement.

For example, I am in NH and am getting my CDL B, airbrake, Passenger, and School Bus endorsements. NH requires a skills test (pre-trip, maneuvers, and road) for the school bus part. There is a guy in my "class" who already has a CDL, but must retest in order to get the P & S endorsements. NH really takes the "must be in appropriate vehicle for endorsements" to heart.

Give your local DMV/RMV a call to find out their specifics.
