Since you're having a tough time finding a lawyer to take your case,i would pay the ticket and tell husband to stay in right lane except to pass. There's no need to give DOT any reason to pull him over.
PA Citation seems bogus

Ignorance is not an excuse. Trucks are prohibited from the left lane of a three or more lane highway and prohibited from hanging out in the left lane of a two lane highway. You can pass via left lane on a two lane highway.
Not seeing any signs is a BS excuse anymore. They're everywhere! I know for a fact they're on 81.HalpinUout Thanks this. -
What court will the hearing be in? Call the clerk there and ask for names of traffic attorneys who are frequently there. Reason being there might be invisible options available, like paying a fine but nothing on record because they all know each other and play the game together frequently. You don't ask up front about it, just stress to the attorney that your driving record is critical for your continued employment.

You CAN and SHOOULD get an attorney for this. He/she might not get your husband off, but they may be able to get the fine reduced or no record on his MVR. Sometimes signage sucks and you just don't see things. Sometimes you just oops. But ALWAYS fight it. if the cop doesn't show up, you most likely beat it. This is why I have Open Road coverage.
Derailed Thanks this. -
And I don't think it's any of the cops business why you're on a 1-year med. Tell him that's between him and your doctor. You have a legal medical in your possession, and that's all he needs to know.

I get attornys for when I blow stop signs. Half of the time I'm not even paying attention and the other half the time I forget they're there, even though I see em everywhere.
Disclaimer: I do a very good job of being a professional driver and have never blown a stop sign nor have I ever had an attorney.
My post is merely there to add fuel to this fire. -
I
Ya, I KNOW I will screw up at some point and get a well-deserved ticket.
I ALSO know I will get some jerkwad who has decided before he ever SAW my truck that I'm getting a ticket. Even if he has to make stuff up. I've had that happen once, and thankfully, Open Road got me off completely.
I can't take 2 days off to got to BFE Kentucky to fight a ticket, which is why I pay the $330 a year for Open Road. -
Ever traveled I87 north of Albany? There is plenty of 6 lane interstates where the left lane is not restricted to trucks. Maybe the guy WAS passing someone while he was out there. OP never stated that. I wouldn't say they were being ignorant, simply came here to ask for advice.

I run ny to Florida and back and there are plenty of signs on the interstates that say "begin no trucks over 6 wheels in left lane" and then down the road you will see signs that say
" end of truck restrictions in left lane" -
Got it, tommorow when I'm not left lane restricted I'm finding the closest prime and setting the cruise to match him. Don't either of you ##### that I'm in the left lane cruising.
I'm willing to bet your the same trucks who sit in the middle lane and pass others at 1 mph faster than the right lane. But once you pass the guy, you just sit in front of him because it's your right or something to do that.
Side note, I do agree with Albany and the 95 corridor having left lane not restricted areas seen them first hand.
Still does not make sitting in the left lane right.
