Yeah. What exactly can the consignees say about it? Are they going to pay the ticket and get it late anyway?

NY kicked me off the road last weekend .
Spent the day cleaning the interior and reloaded the next day ...no big deal.

I was mad at first but I would rather sit at a truck stop than on the interstate that is blocked by a swift who jack knifed.

I really don't have a problem with taking the day off, to me its more of the principle of the thing of the state ditching the responsibility of maintaining the roads, this seems like its going to be the policy from now on and they'll still cry that there's no money in the budget for maintenance

I don’t mind the time off. I have a delivery for today night in Manchester. I could take the backroads but I’m not sweating it. I rather lose a little money then end up in the ditch or worse down the mountain. Money’s no good when you’re dead. I can drive in the snow and even on the curvy roads of PA but I’m always worried some ####### super trucker will try to pass me on the curve while he’s going 75 and end up pushing me with him.

PA has been closing roads since before I was alive me thinks. We are used to it.

Even then Altoona still got their deliveries on time on ice.

So knstead of opening a thread and crying about it. Run 322-283-30-41 and run up the Jersey pike. Don’t know where your appointment is in Jersey, and you’re sure to add some miles. They ban trucks on the big roads, so use the little roads.

How many people run 30 when i80 is shut down out went? Being self reliant means thinking for yourself & not being bogged down by bullshart.

Forget the gps, grab ‘yer map & find a new route!

I’ve ran 95-85-20 to get to Arkansas before because of a snow storm. There was no good way to get to 81 and 81 in Va was shut down in 5-6 different places. Snow sucks. I get it.

It's been said before, but when they can't get the trucks to take care of the big road, what kind of condition do you think the little roads are going to be in?

    ibcalm19 and Ffx95 Thank this.

Got to love the PA little roads forgot where but I had to take one once and it was a 18% grade. Boy I wouldn’t want to go thru that on snow and ice!
