TNDriver, don't know if you still get on here or not, but were you at the 519 truck stop today (3-12-13) by any chance? Pulling trailer 718 I believe, I would have said hello but I didn't know if it was you, and I know there's quite a few red KW's rolling around so I just sat in the truck and kept eating my lunch.

I'm interested in talking with any high country drivers out there. I'm hauling sand now but trying to find where it's the best at. Load pay. Detention pay. Equipment. Benefits. Etc. and I'll share my experience and benefits with you about my company

6388 I don't know much about mbi other than I think they run internationals. Haven't seen them around lately. I'm with modern n working with weatherford n frac tech. If u do a well for weatherford be prepared to sit and sit and sit. At least up north here they r slooooow. Try and get in with a company that'll pay you detention around the clock

We do some Weatherford frac in TX. They are the only ones who pay detention without questions or griping. Have gotten a little tighter on appt times since new year but much better than TriCan.

Only appointment weatherford has up here is on the prefill. My biggest gripe with my detention is my company only pays the firs 14 after I give 2. So outta 26hrs sitting detention I only get paid for 14!! Every company is different just trying to find which once is the best for me. If I'm away from home and my wife n kids I wanna be getting paid for my time in the truck. Either I need to convince my company to restructure their pay or find someone who offers what I want. My company just changed the denetion last year. And the drivers are losing out. We all know they arent leasing a truck and it not getting paid for 10hs sitting there burning fuel. I think the fat cats are getting fatter and the drivers are the ones losing. For a weatherford Job its nothing to sit on a load for 20hrs. Every load!

We don't get paid for 4 hrs. They give them 2 on loading and 2 on unloading. So I always have at least one on load time even if it is nice place that gets you in/out in 5 minutes. So if I sit for 8 hrs I will get at least 5 at $15 hr. They are getting cheaper for sure. Down here there are huge rail yards popping up in middle of no where. Some have sand/load crude/unload pipe and other freight in same yard. Long mileage loads will pretty well be gone in next yr or two. And so will I. Our minimum was dropped from $145 to $131 last month. Had some 25 mile ones but well sanded up twice and got over 30 hrs on one. lol that saved them a lot. Be safe.
