A few years back Schneider didn't let their trucks run the Ohio tpke.

There was an unintended boycott of OH turnpike back in mid 2000s when they bumped the tolls. I forgot how much it was but everybody was taking back roads sharing them with Amish carts. Not very long after, they decreased the tolls but also bumped the speed limit for trucks to 70 mph, which was quite something because prior OH would give you a ticket for doing 60 mph like you were DUI.

The towns of Bellevue, Monroeville, and one other town complained to the ohio tpke commission about the huge number of trks going through. Think that was about that same time. Can't remember what they came up with. Mayby not raising tolls for some time? Remember when pa wanted to toll I-80? Pa has more of a captive customer situation than most of their neighboring toll roads?

Just Google PA Turnpike Act 44. You'll learn why this is happening. I'm not saying the TP commission isn't corrupt, because it is, but this is a result of the efforts of Eddie Spendell, former governor from Filthydelphia. You see, while he was mayor there, he left the city's streets fall apart. Then, once he became governor, he figured the Turnpike should bail Filthydelphia and all the corrupt politicians out of the mess they created. Act 44 is the result....
