Looking for help to solve PACCAR 13 (epa10) EGR Delta Pressure (411-11 code) & DPF Purge Air Actuator (P3842 code). it has triggered a Derate. j have changed air valve. got a new egr pressure sensor. could a clogged EGR cause this? i know i need to get dpf baked, but haven't gotten high soot load. NOx sensors?
Thanks!

You most likely have an open wire between the EAS and the air shutoff valve.

Before replacing the sensor, make sure the sensing tubes aren't plugged. Also, just a small build up of soot in the venturi tube really throws off EGR delta P readings.

Do you still need help? If you HAVE triggered an egr derate (normal, computer automatically shuts down egr system when problem arises and gives you an amount of time (10 hours) to fix the problem. if you keep running it will then derate when you hit that limit), you need to get it out of egr derate first, before you go any further. Your DAVIE will have a TESTING tab and a REPAIR tab that will allow you to disable the active egr derate.

Having same issue on 2012 mx13 in Pete. Start regen and as soon as it hits 500 degrees kicks out and throws code for air shut off valve. Have continuity from connector on module to the valve on both wires and is a new shut off valve. Any suggestions?

Do you have Davie? Have to verified you are indeed getting air to the shut-off valve and no leaks at fuel intake module and at HC doser? Also, did you load test wires?
-
Using TEXA and it does have air. Performed leak test and it built pressure with no leaks but kicks out during regen. Have not load tested wires. Figuring wire or plug may be corroded or grounded out somewhere in that mess of a wiring harness seeing it has continuity but throwing code for air shut off valve and details show short pin A32

Just trying to make sure I’m on right track looking for wiring issue and not something simple I’m overlooking before I start digging through them wires

Monitor your intake fuel pressure or DPF fuel pressure. The sensor mounts in the housing with the fuel and air shutoff solenoids. Same as Cummins. Stuck in range sensor is common. Have you flowed and leak checked the doser?
spsauerland Thanks this. -
I have performed fuel dosing module leak test and it test good no issues but if I try to do the air shut off valve test it says not able to perform and plus regen it kicks out and throws that code. Seems if it does dosing leak test it should be working properly I would think but I’m not sure first of this issue I’ve had on air shut off on these trucks so I’m at a loss really. What is the fuel pressure supposed to be?
