I'm driving an 01 T2000 right now. And i like it, but i dont have any experience in any other truck other then a T600.. I'm pretty sure the trucks mechanically are exactly the same..

the few things i really dont like is the factory CB set up.. i still haven't been able to get my radio to work.. but i got it narrow down to either the cable, antenna or bad ground. All three are cheaper then a radio. I dont like the door seals (could be that my truck is just worn out) but if you're doin 70mph and the wind hits the cab at the wrong angle, it sounds as if every window is down.

storage compartments under the bunk are great, it's just kinda bad how they dont have a way from opening them without the key.. a release cable in the cab would have been great.. you can get to them by lifting the bottom bunk, but if you're outside the cab, you can't open the doors unless you take the key from the ignition or pull a spare out of your arse.

and the wrap around dash could wrap just a little bit more.. when i reach for the radio and i hit a bump (like when ya first cross a bridge) it feels like i'm bout to fall out of the chair and onto the floor. and that's the scary thing, there's so much space between the seats, i might actually hit the floor if i did fall out of the seat. I estimate there's about a good three feet of space from the drivers arm rest to the pass arm rest..

a few things i like are the suspension, my rear diff's, and the fact that my fuel line cross over isn't really a cross over, it's a "T", and it's on a cross member above the fuel tanks, so i dont have to worry about something snagging my fuel line if i can't swerve around it in time.

The suspension is great!!! and i mean it.. i belive i have the AG4000, i know it's the heavier one with the solid torsion bar braces. six inch's of sugar cane sand and it'll do everything possible to keep from breaking traction, and if she starts to buck, just dump the air on the drives and let the frame sit on them, and she'll walk right out. I only used the diff lock once and it didn't do much of nothing. I was delivering horse bedding to a farm in La and got off the beaten track while backing up and my pass side drive couldn't get enough traction to pull my front end out.. flipped the switch to the diff lock and it only showed me that both axles on my pass side would spin if neither couldn't get traction.

all in all i think it's a fair truck, turns sharp and the cummins will pull hard well below 1250rpms (i dont try to let it drop any lower) and i'm high mileage and way over do for a overhead. so much for the 13spd. i dont even use the splitter unless i'm loaded and the pressure gauge on my drives reads 55psi or higher. only time i use LO is when i'm pullin in sand or climbing a rocky grade. But i guess it's better to have the gears and not need them, rather then to need them and not have em'.

hope this wasn't too long winded. maybe someone with a pete will chime in.

miles 989,044 (i get to watch her clock over)

wind noise, normally no, but if it's really windy and it's a head wind, then yes!!! it'll almost sound as if someone just opened both doors and cut a hole in the back of the sleeper.

turning radious, pretty good to me.. there's not too many places i can't get into. i think the wheel base is 122in, or 125in. when i bob tail i drive it like a car, dont second guess any turns, only over head clearance cause my stacks are 13' 3".

    vibrations none. that i've noticed.

lol, i'm sorry, i meant 222" or 225", i think my pickup truck is 122" wheelbase, and i couldn't imagine that pulling 40k.. and i'm interpreting your T200 is the T2000, unless kenworth came out with another model.

owner, and my mileage varies, but for the most part i haven't seen any less then 6mpg. I do a lot of turn and burns so when im loaded heavy it may end up dropping as low as 5.8somethin according to the Celect RoadRelay, but i get it back to 6 or higher on my dead head for another load. I will add that i spend alot of time in the hammer lane too, loaded and empty.
