It’s a $400 sensor, give or take. They’ve submitted my info to be able to update the software to bypass the sensor when the update becomes available, hopefully on the 15th. Then when sensors are available I’ll have to go in when they issues a recall and get the sensor replaced. I already knew what the problem was when I posted that pic in this thread because once I got all the lights on my dash the def gauge went to empty. The def quality sensor and def level sensor is all one piece so I knew it had failed.
Every permanent fix I’ve seen on a post 2015 MX13 has been nothing but a hack job with blocked off egr and stuff because nobody makes aftermarket parts like what’s available for the pre 2015 models.spsauerland Thanks this. -
Oh yeah? No.
-
Nobody makes an aftermarket manifold for the later ones, so you’re stuck using the stock manifold and blocking things off. To me, fixing something right means taking the bad parts off and using better aftermarket parts to rebuild the engine into a better engine
spsauerland and shooter19802003 Thank this. -
A chain around that thing and you would have a great boat anchor…..
so could you run any liquid in the def tank and the sensor couldn’t tell the difference. Because it’s turned off……….? -
It's called a mooring, not an anchor.Cat sdp Thanks this.
-
Could you run any liquid prior to 2016?Goodysnap and spsauerland Thank this.
-
No, never. You would destroy the scrMagoo1968, spsauerland and Long FLD Thank this.
-
The factory deleted the quality control sensor they own it……. Just claim you got some bad def…….
-
Hopefully the chip/sensor problems will go on for years…….
