My 2018 T680 is down due to the UQS fail. I've only owned it since 9/2, its been at the shop since 9/7 after bringing it in for a once over. The dash lit up like a Christmas tree when they pulled her into the service bay, codes confirmed the fail.

After searching the forum and eventually ordering the circuit boards to make the sensor emulator, I called my closest KW dealer to get some technical questions answered that the emulator software writers needed to verify the emulator would work on the MX 13.

Guess what? When I gave the parts manager my VIN and told him about the rabbit hole I was going into with the emulator, he said today is your lucky day, I actually have a UQS in stock; 2 were delivered this morning!

I hauled ### to Inland Kenworth in Carson, CA and coughed up $385 bucks, it's in my garage waiting to be delivered tomorrow morning to the shop so I can have my baby up & running this weekend!

I wonder if there is a business out there that searches these containers out to salvage their contents. They float so are water tight if undamaged.

I'm sure the fact of them breaking the securement will also break that watertight seal.
That said I'm sure there are people out there, for the scrap if nothing else.

Imagine trying to get them through customs after fishing them out of the drink.

I can assure you that very few of those shipping/ rail containers are water tight. The only thing that might keep it afloat are its contents. I bet most sink to the bottom like an anchor.
