I dont carry a gun on the road. I have no problem with the next guy doing so, as long as he's not a hot head, and would only use it as an absolute last chance self defense.

I had hoped not to make anybody mad...guess I didnt succeed...sorry for that...new to this board...All kinds of occupations might feel the need to carry...I guess it would depend on each persons situation and comfort zone...

also some folks have no bizzness with a firearm... Like high strung easily angered folks...Those type of hotheads are one more reason to carry.....ie....An armed Society is a polite Society.....Rude hateful acting folk usually become remarkably polite and repectful if they aint sure whats in your pocket.....Thanks for your thoughts tho...

Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.:biggrin_25525:

Edit: opps too late, already mentioned.

California - what a "unique" state. Strict on guns, but you can have marijuana growrooms no problem.

I dont get why there cant be a standard across the board for all states pass class pay fee resident state gets 60% devide with the rest. Yes some people should never be allowed but you know every criminal in the book is using something or another and would have no problem taking you or me out

As has been covered NUMEROUS times in other threads, especially here there is NO law regarding the carrying of a firearm in a commercial vehicle. It may be a felony where YOU are, but that is not a Federal law. If it is, I'd like to see a credible reference.

Also, how about we do a search on this instead of starting new threads on the same subject.

Many O/O carry one, and never ever have a problem.

It's more about the person, than anything else.

Act proper and you'll never have a problem........

    Really?

So if you, say, sail off into a ditch in CA,you get EMT'ed unconscious in the back of a meat wagon to the ER. Meanwhile, the cops check out your rig and find a loaded or unloaded pistol under the mattress, and they WILL check it out for drugs and other contraband, assuming that you night have been high.

You are NOW looking at a class 2 felony with up to 5 years in the joint and a 10,000 fine here in the golden state. I am sure that other states are the same.

You might THINK you are OK but then.....well, think again. Like I said, pack all you want to, as far as I care, but YOU deal with the consequences.

I can also tell you: DO NOT even THINK of bring a firearm if you are going into Canada, or Mexico.
