Uniball check safe pens, fine point. I never leave home without them. If I do, I’m stopping somewhere and buying some.

My most important/favorite tool , my strap winder... There is nothing more irritating than untarping a load and takin all ur gear off only to spend the next 20 minutes rolling straps up by hand, if they added up how much time has been wasted by flatbedders with no strap winders im sure we couldve send sombody to pluto by now

a roll of tp for when you get in and they have none in the bathroom, then you can sell squares for a heck of a profit.

Also a spare set of wipers. I also carry extra fluids for everything that requires them. I would recommend at least 1 week of food and plenty of water. Things happen and you never know when you might need emergency water. Carrying a spare bulb or two isnt a bad idea either.

vise grips are essential. A good knife and a pair of dykes. Pick up an assorted fuse pack. glad hand seals. Several pairs of good gloves. bag of salt and a small steel shovel if you have the room. a spare phone charger too. It's amazing how fast those things bite the dust. Oh yea and extra boot laces. Cant help you with the open deck stuff.
This probably doesnt apply to you, but anyone reading this who is going to be hauling HazMat should have a nice stockpile of placards and a pack of mailbox number decals to make your own in a pinch. Always ask the shipper for extra. It'll save your butt and you can help out your follow drivers in a big way if they need one. Truck stops only have a few common ones.Odin's Rabid Dog Thanks this. -
You gotta have a juicer.
Definitely a George Foreman grill. No other brand will work.
Heating pot. For coffee. Oatmeal. Soaking feet in epsom salt.
