4000 miles a week is doable..... But you'll get burned out rather quickly.
-
Yeah I use to be a trainer and on a team so I know it wears ya after awhile...recruiter claims teams avg $1200 a week each so trainer sounds better...but I take it with a grain of salt
-
This smells veeeery fishy. 50% or even 40% is way too much for a driver's cut...... unless the other driver's pay comes out of that too (25 and 25 eg). Plus fuel surcharge? ####, that don't leave much for the truck/owner to pay bills with.
Sorry, but this don't make any kind of sense to me. -
It's probably 50% after expenses, that's what I'm seeing here in Florida lately anyway... then you get paid on a 1099 but can't deduct any of the truck expenses for yourself, just the standard driver deductions.... imho, RUN!!! It's worse then a lease/op deal, you pay everything for them and get a piece of what's left without any of the tax benefits.
Good luck either way!!! -
I`ve offered to pay good drivers 50/50 after expenses. All were smart enough to take 25% of the gross.Don`t think I`d worry about a 1099 too much-by the time you get old enough to qualify there won`t be any social security left to draw.

if you are getting the fsc --i guess you must be paying the fuel out of your share then
Kansas Thanks this. -
Hey thanks for the help guys ...yes I will pay fuel but other than that they pay for everything just they are a company leased to who I drive for now werner
-
I would tell them you want 25% of gross and they pay the fuel.
-
Doesn't that in itself raise a red flag for you?
So they are getting say $0.92 cents per mile...and you are getting 50% or 40% of that?
This isn't a checkered flag waving...it is a big red "don't go" RED FLAG!Tazz Thanks this.
